Day 20, 21, 22.
I keep falling behind on posting these but the train is still going good. Day 20 I did chest, back and abs and my training has switch to more of a body building style following a platform from Arnold's bodybuilding bible. Im just trying to get my ass back in shape so I can pick up a sponsorship, but things are going good so far.
Day 21 I rested because i pushed really hard day 20 and felt it the next day and I have been carbcycling to match my training verses none training days.
Day 22
I did shoulders, biceps, triceps, and forearms. Im going to try and get these posts set up with more graphics so that are not so cut and dry to read and to appeal to companies that want someone with strong blogging skills.

Day 18-19 & 20
199 lbs = +3 lbs weight gain, most likely water though not muscle.
So Day 18 and 19 were christmas eve and christmas day so no worries their. All I had was some turkey and fingerling potatoes, and a few pieces of fudge so I did well in the nutrition department.

Lat pull down 3x10 130 lbs

Day 17
So posted day 16 that I was sick, here is what happened. Simple put I didn't eat much that day and then I took pre workout out not thinking about it. It killed leg day but it did get me to think more about my food intake. I m going to try and get these posts done with more detail, videos, pictures and such. I have been putting a lot of time into my ins gram trying to boost my following. Well today is a rest day and most likely the next two days will be as well since its the holidays. I see you all soon.

Day 12 workout
So today I did the following,
Lat Pull Downs 4x10, 120 lbs
Sear Rows Narrow Grip 4x10, 130 lbs
One Arm Rows 4x10, 50 lbs
Alternating Bicep Curls 4x20, 30 lbs
This brings me to the point of explaining why I did this. I first started off with strength training which left me super sore the first few days, but I seemed to adapt quickly to it since Its the training I tend to default to. After a week of strength training it was working for me any more because I lack the ability to increase the weight due to using the apartment gym machines that max out at 200 lbs. So I went with volume training
( hypertrophy training ) which seems to challenge the muscles but ill know for sure tomorrow. I am slowly fine tuning my program as I discover what I can and can not due with what I have arable to me.
Here in the next few days I will be doing some more supplement reviews. I have bio bro, and some MTS products on the way that I can't wait to try out. As always thank for stopping by.

Day 12
So its the start of an other day with some new goals! Im looking to get some sort of sponsorship and have been looking into what it will take to make that happen. The funny part is building the body will be the easy part for, me but getting 2,000 followers on instagram and building a bigger Youtube audience will be what takes me time.
So far it looks like 5% Nutrition is the way I want to go, but its going to take some time. So lets go over some other things.
Diet
Right now I really am not on one due to the fact I'm trying to put mass back on. Now this doesn't mean I get to eat everything I want. I still restrict my sugars and do my best to not fill up on carbs. I don't want to look like a gorilla with a muscle gut. I focus on eating my protein which is about 25 grams every two hours when I can, or 200 grams a day. When I work this gets hard to do so, so I go after some basic stuff. Ill get a whole milk bottle for like $0.99 and treat it like a protein shake. Keep in mind even though whole milk contains fat it has a good ratio of fat, carbs, and protein perfect for building muscle as long as you don't over do it. Bottom line Im an average joe making things work until I can get myself in a position (gym, work, etc) that allows me to focus on it more.
If your like me you have spent hours feeling frustrated and demotivated because you feel like you can't eat or train to reach the goals you want, but ill tell you this. I have seen people with nothing more then their body weight and playgrounds develop bodies that I wouldn't mind having myself, and they did it because they new if they just kept on working at it even when some days just felt like a waste of time that it would happen. Put in the time and you will get results.
The Workout Program
Here is the part a lot of people get hung up on. Right now what I have to work with as a gym pisses me off because I love to strength train but all I have is a run down apartment gym that has machines that max out at 200 lbs. So here is what Im going to do. first Im going to get myself a garage rented at my apartment and rebuild my in home gym and bring back my old Youtube series that focused on in home training along with DIY gym equipment. Until then here is my craptastic workout breakdown.
MON-cardio
TUES-weight training
WEN-cardio
THURS-weight training
FRI-cardio
SAT-weight training
SUN-weight training
Now when you lack machines or equipment for workout variation here is what you can do to help challenge the body to keep it growing.
(1) Increase the weights. Doing so will challenge the muscle helping them grow as you stronger. Strength training tends to make a muscle denser before it will make it bigger, but over time the muscle will get bigger as it become more solid.
(2) Increase the sets. If the classic 3 sets of 10 becomes easy make it 4 then 5, and so on. This will increase the volume of weight you move in your workout with will increase the volume of the size of your muscles when done right over time. Search the term hypertrophy training if you want to get into the science of how this works.
(3) Shorter rest cycles. allow your body to rest less forces it to push harder which can aid in the burning of calories, or train the muscle to increase glycogen storage
( Fuel stored in the muscles ).
(4)Movement Rest. When you rest between sets keep moving, jog in place. This keeps the heart from slowing down to much which can help you stay primed for the next set, but it is also an other great way to burn off more calories during your weight training.
All right everyone That it for today, I have ranted enough and will continue to update you as I work towards my goals. I will also try not to fold my blog with my instagram post so please do me a favor and follow me on isntagram.
Day 11
What did I get done today... Not much. Why? Because I was getting all my posts over from an old forum to here, thats why You will see a ton of posts all in one day. This blog is the hub of all I do as I deliver you up dates of my fitness journey as I work on picking up a fitness sponsorship. I welcome you all to follow me on Instagram if you want to see more of the funny side of what I do.
No workout today, but the day wasn't wasted none the less.

Day 10
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/cho-aniki-bakaretsu8.gif)
The Craptastic Workout!
So today I got off late from work so the gym was closed. It looks like an other calisthenic day for me which blows but it blows less then no workout at all. Day 9 I did 100 push ups as fast as I could nock them out trying to note rest and I didn't feel it the next day so Im looking at doing some crazy amount of push ups like 200, hitting the abs with the ab wheel, and then a bunch of air squats. I miss my in home gym bad right now, but like Marc has said to me before "just shut up and do it".

Hey everyone. So my recovery time is getting way better which is awesome due to the fact I haven't even got my supplements yet I just ordered. The only down side is I don't have any other equipment in my apartment gym to use, so I'm going to address this by using more DB movements, increasing volume, and shortening my rest while applying the moment rest concept. Ill have more for you guys once I get off work and get a workout in.
Day 9
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/Warrior.gif)
The Cardio
So today I got my cardio in. I did wind sprints on the elliptical. one minute walking followed by ten seconds of hauling @$$ then walking an other minute I did ten sets of this which leave you feeling awesome but winded. I just order some MTS products so I am stoked about that because that means I will also be getting to review them here soon as well.

Day 8
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/collususs02.gif)
Feeling kick @$$!
The Workout
Lat pull down 5x5, 150 lbs
Neutral chest press 5x5, 200 lbs
Leg extensions 3x10 200 lbs
Alternating bicep curls 3x20 40 lbs
Overhead DB extension 3x10 (L/R) 50 lbs
So I am finding that my strength is coming back quicker then I expected because Im maxing out the machines and I'mgetting to the point I can do more like 5x8, which is a good sign that I ether retained a lot of my strength, or Im growing faster then I thought I would.
I got my youtube up and running and have started to do reviews on it. I will of course show some love for #TigerFitness as I start to review The MTS brand of supplements as soon as the funds to do so are there. Im also hoping to help drive more people to the forums so we can have more lively conversation.

Day 7... Leg Day!
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/calves-press-on-leg-machine-1.gif)
So I'm working out of an apartment gym that lacks machines for legs so Im going to have to do a leg calisthenic work out. Im going to be doing lunges, air squats, and all sorts of body weight squat and lunge variations just so I can try to get some growth stimulus... I miss my heavy squats.

Kind of rest day.
So today was going to be a rest day, but my desire to keep training anything that isn't sore is starting to pick back up again. So I did the following to get some work in, but not rob myself of rest.
Push-ups 3x20
Sit-ups3x20
Walking Lunges 3x20
Walked the dog for 30 minutes.
My next project that I will be working on is getting my IG traffic to visit these forums so we can have more active bloggers within the forums. If you want find me on IG just search Muscle Professor.

5x5 Lat pull downs 200 lbs
3x20 Alternating Hammer Curls 35 lbs
3x20 Over Head Tricep Extensions L/R 35 lbs

I am noticing that my strength is coming back fast and that I didn't lose to much of it, but my physique has changed for sure. A little doughy through the mind section bu not to bad. you can always look at my starter picture as well.
An other note, I'm starting to get some reviews up on my IG and I'm getting my old youtube going again. Ill update you all on the later.

Day 4 Rest Day
Im still adjusting to being back on the gym scene and will most likely only workout out every other day until my body kicks back into gear ( it takes two weeks for quick adaptations to take effect ). So on rest days I do yoga to try and keep from getting stiff or losing R.O.M. These forums seem kind of dead so if you are a living breathing person reading this, I would love to hear from you even if its just idol chatting.

Day 3
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/Fart-Yourself-Thin.jpg)
A light workout.
First of all I hope you enjoy the gym humor post. I make these up for my IG and thought I would share them here as well. So today I was still feeling really sore (I really need something to help with recovery time, any thoughts?) I have been keeping my carbohydrate intake higher to help with the D.O.M.S. but man it feels like D.O.M.S. is winning. I kept my workout lighter today doing 4x10 of the list that follows.
Neutral Chest Press 4x10 120 lbs
Bent Over Rows 4x10 80 lbs
Leg Extensions 4x10 170 lbs
Body Weight Air Squats 3x20
I now I could have pushed harder but I know I need to let my body adjust. I think once I get my supplements going My recovery should improve so I can push myself harder with out feeling like my limbs are dead.

Day 2
![[IMG]](https://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab187/rocker_4u/hammock-1.gif)
Rest Day
Well my first workout went well and I pushed myself hard. After a good nights rest I woke up with some major D.O.M.S. which is a source of happiness for me. Its been some time since I have experienced D.O.M.S. so its a welcomed sign of potential growth. To help motivate myself further I'm looking into doing beta testing for some supplement companies. I used to do that a lot on youtube but the account I used is now blank because I have liked posting more on I.G. lately. Any ways thanks for stopping by and reading.

Day 1
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/juggernaut.gif)
The Search Begins for Internal Motivation.
So today I got my first workout in at my apartment gym, workout is listed below. My food intake has been good, i follow a simple rule of no flout products or sugars from outside my supplements unless I'm out with my wife which is once a week for date night. Otherwise I eat paleo with some dairy and brown rice. Im waiting for supplements to come in for me to review later on I.G. but until then all Im taking is a pre workout. The downside that is killing to using the apartment gym is that all the machines max out at 200 lbs.

The Program Concept.
I work a full 40 hours a week with two days off just like the average joe. At first I was letting this get to me. I went from being able to train multiple times a day to only having two days off a week with no gym. So here is what Ill be doing, I will be working out every other day rotating between upper body lower body due to lack of equipment (apartment gym). I will make a list of what my apartment gym has to offer as it will play a big roll in program design.
As far as food intake that is going really good, and has always been the easy part for me along with proper hydration. Im short on funds right now due to just moving into a new place so supplements will be very limited for now. If you guys are interested I do fitness humor posts and supplement reviews on my instagram. I do it just for fun, so I just putting it out there. https://www.instagram.com/muscle_professor/

This is me Dec 7th 2016
Age: 30
Weight: 197 lbs
Todays I start getting my water intake in order as well as dialing in my food intake. As far as the workout program, I have have is my apartment gym but it will have to due. I will most likely do full body workouts 2-3 times a week. Once my body start getting adjusted to returning to the gym scene I will increase the intensity by doing more volume with shorter rest periods due to lack of equipment options. Im not going to let lack of equipment stop me. All you need for muscle to grow is time under tension, and ill hit my muscle with all I got to get things going.
The post that started it all.
![[IMG]](https://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd444/lanithroe/Arnold%20and%20joe.png)
Arnold coined the phrase of stay hungry. Arnold during the film pumping iron talks about what it is to stay hungry, but to summarize it in my own words it means to constantly find new ways to challenge yourself in order to become a better you. Joe talks of wanting evolution of his body in his book by making his body grow in a functional sense by evolving it to its strongest form. Inspired by the messages of these two men have l decided to become hungry for evolution.
Hi everyone. I used to use this site a lot a long time ago and went by the screen name Lanithroe. Im back and Im here to use this site as my online journal to track my fitness journey, because it worked very well in the past. First let me tell you a little about myself for those who don't know me from before.
I was a dietitian in the military for six years and have been a personal trainer for 8 years. I no longer work as a trainer but, fitness is still a passion of mine. Im not here to try and be the one telling you I wear the daddy pants because of my experience. Im here to log my info, and maybe inspire somebody along the way wile having a few laughs and making a few new friends.
Here is what got me started again.
I had originally wrote Marc about having an issue with motivation. To summarize it Marc wrote me back sending me this video, and simply telling me how it is. I had spent so much time focusing on all the things I didn't have verses what I did have that I got lost in it. I know my goals and Im ready to get back on track now. I will post here soon about my starting points and what Im looking to achieve. I welcome you all to comment, share, and inspire as I put my @$$ back on the tracks.

The muscle professor origin story.
The Story of The Muscle Professor.
You may have seen me on Instagram, or caught an episode of "The Hunger for Evolution" on Youtube. Nether my Youtube or Instagram give me much space to talk about how I became the muscle professor and my own personal journey. Well get settled in because I'm about to tell you why I do what I do And why I continue to run this blog amongst posting on Youtube and Instagram.
It all started 6 months before my 18th birthday 12 years ago. I joined the Air Force looking for a sense of direction in life. Just being a kid looking to find a way to become more of a man by taking charge of my life I signed up to pretty much become a glorified cook / dietician. I had always has a love for fitness so thought that taking such a job would help take a good positive step towards that passion.
At the age of 22 ( four years of being a dietician ) I decided that I want to take my passion for fitness to a knew level as I went to college and then became a certified personal trainer. At this time in my life things seemed awesome as I tackled my dream, but I always had a bad habit of putting my relationship before my passions. At this time in my life I found a beautiful woman who I thought was the girl of my dreams, so I married her. Putting her first I let my passion to be a trainer fade away, but all this did was make me unhappy and unfulfilled. After some time I realized that being unhappy and married did not mix which would eventually ware her down as well as it caused us hardship. We decided to part ways which hurt, but was best for the both of us.
After taking the time to heal I felt ready again and returned to the fitness scene at full steam working for some big box gyms before turning into a free lance personal trainer. Life seemed great again as things picked up, but it was only a matter of time again before slipping back to defining my self worth by my relationship. Meeting an other wonderful woman who would be the mother of my amazing son things seemed yet again so positive. Fast forwarding three years later I was a happy father, but as time went by the only reason I was still in a relationship with my girlfriend at the time was because we had a son. Are passions were for different things and we both had different ideas of what the future should be. Things didn't end so well as my ex decided to leave with my son which crushed me because he was my world. At the time I was hurt and so angry, but later would come to forgive her because all she was trying to do was do what she thought it took to reach her goals and dreams even though this would crush me because I would get to see him liked I used to.
Feeling destroyed without my son because I had built my life around being dad, I turned back to fitness to find what happiness I could. For some Time I was happy, but then all my school bills began to pile up and crush me as the money I made was barley enough to pay them and my other bills forcing me to change my job to one that would yield more pay so I could get my bills under control.
During this time is when I found myself. Learning to just be me and let all that happens to me in life come from that verses finding someone to define who I am. Fast forwarding I bit I got my life in order and was happy even though I wasn't in the fitness field any more. Being in a good place in my life I would finally find the woman that made every thing come together not because she defined who I was , but strengthened who I chose to be. She would be the most loving, supportive person I would ever meet as well as being my best friend and partner in crime.
After being together for some time and finding myself now 30 years old. I started to look back at my fitness passion. I would start to turn to others as my fitness motivation was lost and it seemed like I couldn't get it back. It seems hopeless to ever return to fitness as my wife would tell me "hang in there and keep looking. You will find a way". Well the beginning of that way was a n E-mail to Marc of Tiger Fitness. his response was this.
"I can't motivate you because that is a choice made by you, besides stop being a wimp and suck it up and just do it because you have been a trainer before". ( I cleaned it up a bit ).
Reading this started to bring me back to a militant state of mind ( I did my six years in the military and got out ) as I thought he is right and I make that choice today. My motivation began to return as I returned to the gym... well an apartment gym which blows but works. I would begin to try and find more motivation as I asked to be a rep for tiger fitness. Marc would later talk in his Vlog how you shouldn't look for handouts and make it your own way which would bring me to where I am now.
I will build my body so I can become a sponsored athlete, or rep. I don't want to be a body builder I just want to be fit and help others be fit as well... Well i want to be jacked. How would I do this simple, I would track my journey online independent from handouts pushing only myself until I became sponsored or got an awesome rep job. Then I would invest all money I could to one day open a gym where I would find my final mecca of fitness. This is the story of the muscle professor.
